Box 9 Albertville, MN 55301 RE: Weed Elimination Ordinance No. 2000-10 For property at: Hunters Pass Estates— PID 101-110-000-040 Dear Property Owner: It has come to the attention of the City of Albertville that you have unmowed areas on your property that contain weeds at a height greater than twelve inches. The City of Albertville has a duty to enforce its ORDINANCE NO. 2000-10 (a> Ordinance establishes guidelines for cutting and removal of grass and weeds). This ordinance requires the City to notify the owner/occupant of any property to remove the weeds within five (5) days. Failure to comply with this notice within five (5) days will cause the City to cut or arrange to have such weeds cut. The actual cost of cutting the weeds, plus such sums as determined by the City Council to reimburse the City for its costs of inspection, shall be certified by the City Administrator and shall thereupon become a lien upon the lot or land on which the weeds were located. Should you choose not to respond to this request; the City will arrange to have such weeds cut. To avoid expenses you would incur if the City deems it necessary to cut them, please take immediate action to comply with the City Ordinance on Weed Elimination and continue to keop the weeds trimmed throughout the entire summer/late fall. A City employee will be out to inspect the property on August 5, 2009. This letter will be your only notice for the 2009 season, if the above address is not maintained on a regular basis the City will automatically mow the property and continue to send an invoice for the City to mow your property.
