2004-08-23 Corrective Action LetterAugust 25, 2004 Larry R. Kruze City Administrator Don Peterson Mayor of Albertville City of Albertville 5975 Main Avenue N.E. P.O. Box 9 Albertville, MN 55301 August 26, 2004 Dear Mr. Kruze and City Council: Thank you for your letter dated August 23, 2004 regarding our operation. First of all, we want you to know we take your letter sent on with the utmost seriousness. We will do everything possible to take all possible corrective actions available to us. We do want to be a positive feature of Albertville with a safe environment for all of our patrons and staff. Our participation in charities, fundraisers, and city events shows our commitment to the city and the community. Also, providing a safe environment is not option to us -- it simply has to happen, regardless of the circumstances. In fact, to show you how we were attempting to eliminate these problems, we called the meeting with the Wright County Sheriff department on August 3`d, 2004 to discuss recent activity in our parking lot and how we can work with the police officers to prevent any further negative activity. That meeting yielded the following actions — which were immediately implemented: • Doubled security staff Wednesday thru Saturday with up to 4 door host • Trained all new staff and re-train old staff on IDing policies and signs of problem people with Bob Pomplun, our Loss Prevention Manager. • IDing people outside the building and restricting entry to any potential problem people. • Increase traffic flow with removal of tables in the front entry and door host controlling the flow on a regular basis. • Continue our policy of "No late night drink specials." Since our meeting on August P, we've had zero negative activities at our location according to Officer Dan Anselment. The Wright County Sheriffs department is happy with the way things are going. It is to our advantage to be a positive feature to the community, and also, guest and staff safety is of great concern to us and imperative to our success. We feel the above action plan and the heightened awareness your letter raised, we are happy to report that we have had no police activity in the last 3 weeks — which is a good start. We will continue to evolve and implement procedures to ensure the well being of all our patrons. Sincerely, Korey Bannerman, Partner Bob & Stacy Carlson, Partner Gary Windschitl, RVP Ryan Wentz, RVP Shawn Shephard , GM
