It is my understanding that the developer's engineers have discussed possible solutions to the problems caused by such long dead end. even if temporary. watermains with Joint Powers' staff. · Our last comment letter recommended addition of a gate valve at the north end of the project. Because of plans submitted. for the Karston Cove development, this is no longer necessary. The other valves recommended for addition in our last letter have been added. . All other comments from our first review have been addressed.. The plans as revised comply with the Joint Powers Water Board's Standards for watermain construction, with the exception of the temporary dead end main issue. If the Board can find a solution to this issue, we recommend approval of the plans as revised. For the Board's information, this development contaln$ 68 lots, which will result in an e$timated water usage of 8,160.000 gallons per year when all houses are built. If you have any questions about this review, please call me. Sincerely I Howard R.
