Dear Joe:
It is my understanding that you are the general contractor on this project for Pilot Land
Development. There is a drainage problem on a previous Pilot project (Center Oaks 2nd Addition)
that could be remedied by one of your crews the next time they are in town.
The drainage problem is located at 5588 Kalenda Drive. There is a catch basin at the southeast
comer of this property that was probably installed correctly, however, the lot was not graded
correctly for the runoff to get to this catch basin. To fix this drainage problem, have one of your
crews remove a concrete ring from this catch basin, regrout the catch basin, and do some minor
landscape work to smooth out the drainage swale that the homeowner has dug out to allow water to
drain to the catch basin. This work should be done by hand so the existing lawn is not disturbed.
I spoke with Don Jensen of Pilot Land Development, and he indicated you will be paid time and
materials for this work. Please let me know when this work could be completed, so I can notify the
homeowner. Call me at 320/229-4373 if you have any questions.
Sincerely,
