Re: Access Permits for Two (2) Access Points for Albert Villas Development on CSAH 18
Dear Mr Schlichting:
Enclosed are approved copies of two access permit applications for the Albert Villas
development in the City of Albertville. The locations of these accesses are at the two
intersections with Kahl Ave which winds thru the development.
The intersection points were reviewed and approved earlier with Wayne Fingalson, Wright
County Engineer and Virgil Hawkins, Assistant County Engineer. The right turn and bypass
lanes as shown on the site plans meet the requirements for dimensions and structure thicknesses
that were stated in earlier correspondence from Virgil Hawkins. Proper traffic control signs and
procedures shall be used during the work within the right of way.
In reviewing the plans, the proposed 12" diameter concrete culverts for under the Kahl Avenue
approaches shall be increased to 18" diameter and with sufficient length to allow a 6: 1 ratio
inslope on either side of the approaches. All disturbed areas within the r/w shall be reseeded for
erosion control. Wright County is scheduling improvement work on this portion of CSAH 18
later in 2001, but slopes and turf establishment need to be reestablished for drainage and erosion
purposes.
Permit Application No. 0035 applies to the northwesterly approach ofKahl Ave., while Permit
Application No. 0036 applies to the southeasterly approach ofKahl Ave.

for work within the County Right of Way have been met thru a combined bond with Kiekle
Underground.
