Box 9 5975 Main Avenue Northeast Albertville, Minnesota 55301 RE: Minneapolis Factory Shoppes Indirect Source Permit (ISP) 96-18 • Dear Mr. Morse and Mr. Hale: The staff of the Policy and Planning Division (PPD) of the Minnesota Pollution Control Agency (MPCA) is in receipt of a letter from Mr. Morse dated August 10, 1998, regarding the Minneapolis Factory Shoppes project located in Albertville, Mirmesota. The letter requests approval of a construction completion extension date and a proposed change in land use for the project. Currently, as permitted under ISP 96-18, completion of the project is scheduled for end of the year 1999. Wi±h this request for extension, proposed completion of the project is scheduled for May 2000. The PPD staff notes that construction of the project is scheduled to begin by Apri130, 1999, as approved in our January 30, 1998, letter to Mr. Morse. A review of the permitted land uses including square feet of development and the number of parking spaces, and the proposed changes as described below, are well within the limits set under ISP 96-18. The proposed changes in land use include 1) a reduction of 17,000 square feet of Phase I retail space from 267,000 square feet to 250,000 square feet, and 2) a reduction of 371 parking spaces. With the proposed change, the entire development will have 1,856 total new parking spaces, and a total of 337,000 gross square feet at build out, 17,000 square feet less than the 354,000 square feet permitted under ISP 96-18. • 520 Lafayette Rd.
