Re: City of Albertville; The Minneapolis Outlet Center.
Dear Mr. Knowlton:
This letter will confirm our understanding of Wednesday night that yourself and
JMJ staff will consider the recommendations made by the Albertville Planning
Commission in relation to the design and cost considerations, and then you or JMJ will
submit a proposal to Albertville regarding JMJ s position on how the costs and fees
related to this project should be handled. City staff and JMJ staff will then attempt to
negotiate acost/fee structure which City staff can recomm~dnlto ~ 1 tl equestlw 11 not be
approval. It is also City staffs' understanding that the p ~'Y p
placed on the City Council agenda for consideration until we have negotiated the fees to
the point where staff can recommend the cost/fee structure toeth~Cityy Plat reques onothe
that these negotiations can be completed m tune to put th p
October 5, 1998 City Council agenda.
As you are aware from the notice on Albertville's application forms, the City will
take longer than the usua160 days (from date of submittal) to process this request. Due to
the complexity of the issues, including the costJfee issues to be discussed between the
parties, the City is extending the 60 day period for approval to 120 days, as allowed by
Minnesota statute.
Please contact either myself or Dave Lund with your cost/fee proposal. Thank
you.
