Dear Jim: Gary Hale has forwarded your March 5, 1997 letter to me and has asked that I attempt to answer the issues your letter raises. As I recall, several of the issues raised in your March 5`~ letter were discussed at our Apri129, 1996 meeting. At that meeting, the City confirmed that the City's wastewater treatment plant .capacity was adequate to handle your proposed use, but that the lift station on the west end of the City may have to be upgraded. It is anticipated that the funds for upgrading the lift station will come from trunk sewer access fees collected as the sewer tnznks attached to the lift station are extended and as vacant properties (including the Roden property) are platted. The sewer line north of highway 19 appears to be adequately sized, but I believe that the issue of whether the sewer would have to be extended north along the border of the Roden property was not decided at that meeting. The wastewater treatment plant continues to have adequate capacity to handle your proposed development, but the City may not be in a position to guarantee that capacity beyond the May 31, 1997 date contained in the April 15, 1996 letter from the City Administrator. As to the water line, I believe that you thought the existing line/pressure was adequate for your use. The City wanted the water line looped through the Roden properly, but no determination was made as to exactly how that looping would occur nor was a determination made as to what porkion of the looping would be installed as part of your development.
