near Ms. Moorman,
Our office serves as the planning consultant for the City of Albertville. We have reviewed the
information you provided to us via a-mail on June 9, 2003. As part of the Albertville Findings of
Fact & Decision document, "the city must evaluate the Required Sign Criteria (which was faxed
to you) for Phase III and determine the effect of the differing standards from the Required Sign
Criteria for the JMJ Outlet Mall Phase I as revised November 8, 1999."
All proposed signs must meet the performance standards as far as height and square footage
outlined in the material faxed to you May 29th. The proposed monument sign must be set back
10 feet from the property line and may not be located along any easement areas as we
discussed.
With that said, based on our physical inspection of the site as well as input from city staff, it
appears that your proposal will meet the requirements related to the free standing signs, tower
signage, and directory signs. The proposed projection signs are also acceptable. With regards
to the vehicular directional signs, you will be required to submit a narrative description of that
specific request along with illustrations. As this type of sign wasn't part of the initial sign criteria,
the vehicular directional signs will require approval from the Albertville Planning Commission
and City Council. This process could take up to sixty days from the date you. submit material
until final review and approval by the City Council.
If you have any auestions or comments, please don't. hesitate to contact Alan Brixius or myself.
Sincerely,
NORTH C,ATED CONSULTANTS, INC.
