The developer for Albert Villas 4th Addition is proposing to install boulevard tress throughout
the development. While the trees will have a significant aesthetic value, the location of the trees
within the street right-of-way needs to be planned to avoid conflicts with private utilities, fire
hydrants, sidewalks, and snow storage.
Enclosed are four options to consider. Items that should be considered when deciding which
option to adopt are:
1. Adequate room for snow storage.
2. Private utilities would prefer to be within the public right-of-way.
3. Location of the sidewalk. Does the sidewalk have to be in the public right-of-way or can
it be located within the drainage easement?
4. The aesthetic impact of the trees diminishes the further away the trees are located from
the curb.
Please add this item to the March 19,2001 agenda for consideration by the city council.
