The options were: 1. Locating the trail along the easterly side of Kassel Avenue. 2. Installing the trail at the location shown on the previously-approved construction plans and performing soil correction work necessary to support the trail in this location. 3. Installing a boardwalk at the location shown on the previously-approved construction plans. The City Council expressed their desire to have Edina Development install the trail as identified in Option 2. To determine the extent of soil correction needed to support the trail, it is recommended that a series of soil borings be taken along the trail alignment. On average, soil borings should be taken at 300- foot intervals, with a closer spacing in the area of suspect soils. Please call me at 651.490.2147 if you need further assistance in this matter.
