The developers of Albertville Plaza 2nd Addition have requested a letter of credit
reduction. Prior to doing so, the site was inspected to verify if the property is in
compliance with the landscaping requirements called for in the project approval.
On August 14, 2008, staff visited the Albertville Plaza 2nd Addition development to
review the landscaping on -site. When comparing the landscaping that had been
planted with the approved Landscaping Plan, staff determined that five (5) plantings
were missing on the site.
The Landscaping Plan indicates two Serviceberry Clump trees to be located south of
the pond, north of the parking lot and in between the Autumn Blaze Maple trees. (The
outlined area on the photograph indicates only the approximate area of the missing
landscaping).
In addition, the Landscaping Plan indicates three Black Hill Spruce trees to be located
to the southeast of the pond and to the west of the road. (The outlined area on the
photograph indicates only the approximate area of the missing landscaping).
A copy of the approved Landscape Plan is included with this memo and has been
marked to indicate which plantings are missing. Staff would recommend that these
landscaping requirements be fulfilled before a reduction in the letter of credit is given.
