As requested, we have revised the 79g lot -by -lot tabulation for the Center Oaks 2nd through 4 h
Additions development to include the results of the recent compaction testing.
Background Information
Braun Intertec performed excavation observations and compaction testing during the site grading
of the development. The results were submitted in our report dated April 13, 1998. As indicated
on the previous 79g lot -by -lot tabulation, we recommended that compaction testing be performed
during house construction at several house locations. Compaction tests were not performed at
these house pads during the original site grading.
The lot and block numbers for several of the house pads within the 4 h addition were revised.
These revisions were marked on our previously submitted 79g lot -by -lot tabulation by Meyer-
Rohlin, Inc. The attached 79g lot -by -lot tabulation includes these revisions.
Compaction Testing
A total of 27 compaction tests were performed between October 9 and December 4, 1998, at house
pad locations where additional compaction testing was recommended. All compaction tests met or
exceeded the minimum density requirement of 95 percent of standard Proctor density. The
compaction test results are attached to this report.
Revised 79g Lot -by -Lot Tabulation
The attached 79g lot -by -lot tabulation outlines the applicability of each house lot within the Center
Oaks 2nd to 4`h Additions development. In summary, the graded house pads meet 79g requirements
with the exception of lots 1 and 2, block 3, 4`h addition. At these two house pads, the surcharge
was in place and the recommended compaction testing could not be performed. We recommend
that compaction testing be performed at these two house pads during house construction.
General Remarks
The graded building pad locations are shown on the grading improvement project construction
plans dated August 22, 1997, last revised October 8, 1997, prepared by Meyer-Rohlin, Inc. The
area corrected for a proposed building is a specific area shown on this plan. The exact locations
and preparation of the graded building pads is the responsibility of the excavation contractor.

We caution any builder who builds on this project to carefully evaluate the location of the proposed
building with respect to the corrected building pad. A building situated on a lot that is not located
within the corrected pad location may not be founded on suitable soil or have adequate oversizing
for lateral support of the fill or foundation loads. If a builder is unsure as to the location of the
corrected pad, or if they are suspicious as to the suitability of the foundation soils, it is
recommended we be contacted to assist the builder in locating the building pad and suitable
foundation soils.
No established national standard exists for excavation observations. We have used the methods
and procedures described in this report to evaluate the exposed soils. Other firms may use
different procedures to evaluate bottoms of excavations.

of care and skill ordinarily exercised by members of the profession currently practicing in this area
under similar budget and time restraints. No warranty, expressed or implied, is made.
