Re- Revised 79g Lot -by -Lot Tabulation, Cedar Creek South 6th Addition Regrading,
Highway 118 and Highway 19, Albertville, Minnesota
Attached to this letter is a revised 79g lot -by -Sot tabulation for the re -grading of :he residential
lots m Cedar Creek South 6th Addition Development in Albert% -Ale, Minnesota. This report
changes the block numbers and basement grades from the October 24, 2000, report.
Background Information
Cedar Creek South Development was graded in 1998. The results of'the previous observations
were summarized in the 79g lot -by -lot tabulation attached to a report dated November 11: 1999,
project BA X-98-091.
Since the initial grading was completed, some re -grading and renumbering of units in Block
were completed. The re -grading included the addition of fill and thr, elimiriz ion of two units
from the original twin home design, Pebn Excavating performed the regrading frorn September
13 to 2`, 2000,
Observations
As part of the re -grading, we completed additional excavation observations to evaluate the
location of the previously -constructed pads, and whether or not adequate oversizing was
provided to allow for the addition of fill to these pads. Based on our observations, it i8 our
opinion the previously -constructed oversizing was adequate with the addition of more fill.
As the fill was being placed, compaction tests were taken to evaluate the effectiveness of the
procedures used by the contractor, and to evaluate whether minim= compaction requ renews
had been met.
Project specifications require that fill placed :n building pads be compacted to a minimum of
95 percent of the standard Proctor density (ASTM D 698).

A total of 14 compaction tests were taker, in the fill placed on these pads. In addition, in the
previously-nambered Lots 9 and 10, Block 8, the previously -placed fill was removed and
replaced. As you will note in the previously -issued report, minimum density requirements ware
not obtained in this pad during grading in 1993. The compaction tests taken in the fill placed
meet minimum density requirements.
79g Lot -by -Lot Tabulation
The attached 79g lot -by -lot tabulation o-at,ines the applicability of each lot within Block 2 of the
Cedar Creek South 6th Addition development. In summary, the graded building pads meet 79g
requirements.
General Remarks
The original grading was completed :n 1998 based on playas prepared by Meyer-Rohlin, dated
December 16; 1997, last revised January 6, 1998. The additional fill placed m 20W was done
based on a new plan dated September 8, 2000. In addition, field plans of the plot prints for all
lot, was issued September 13, 2000.
The exact location of the graded building pads is me responsibility of the surveyor and
excavation contractor. We caution the builder who b,.ii<ds on this protect to carefully evaluate
the location of the proposed building with respect to the corrected building pad. A building
situated on a lot that is not located within the corrected, pad may not be founded on suitable soil
or have adequate oversizing for lateral support of the fill or foundation loads, if the builder is
unsure as to the location of the corrected pad, or if they are suspicious as to the suitability of the
foundation soils, it is recommended that we be contacted to assist the builder in locating the
building pad and suitable foundation soils.
