At your request, SEH has reviewed the status of the erosion control silt fence installed for the subject
project. After discussing the situation with City staff, we have the following reconnnendations:
1. Vegetation in the boulevard areas has been established to the point that the silt fence can be
removed from the boulevards.
2. Silt fence around the perimeter of the site must continue to be maintained. There are several
locations where the silt fence has fallen down and corrective action is needed.
3. Silt fence around wetlands and ponds must continue to be maintained. There are a number of
locations where repair work is needed.
The large disposal piles in the undeveloped area (7th Addition) also require silt fence around
the perimeter.

The rough grading is approved with the following conditions:
1. The acreage being graded and/or filled has or is covered under an NPDES Permit.
2. Silt fence is installed and maintained along all plUl""'tr lines at which runoff occurs, along all
curb lines adjacent to the disturbed ground, adjacent to all creeks, ditches, and water bodies,
and/or as determined in the field.
3. The directions of the existing water conveyance patterns are not changed.
4. Any concrete curb and gutter damaged due to the improvements, is removed and replaced.
5. Any portion of the street that is damaged due to the improvements is removed and replaced.
6. Traffic control deices (warning/construction signs) are provided prior to hanling across
Kassel Avenue.
7. A smooth mow-able (3: 1 or less) slope is created between the grading site and the
property/residence to the east.
8. Upon completion of the grading, the temporary ditch crossing and culvert are removed and
the ditch bed and banks are restored.
9. No filling in the CSAH 19 right-of-way.
10. All dirt, debris and tracked materials are swept and removed from the street(s) daily.
11. And, all disturbed torf is restored with 6" (minimum) of black dirt, seed, and mulch.
Please note that the City's working hours are from 7:00 A.M. to 7:00 PM. Monday through Friday, 8: 00
A.M. t 0 5:00 P.M. on Saturdays, and no work is permitted on Sundays.
