Dear Property Owner:
The City of Albertville has received complaints regarding the condition of your Lots 1, 2,
th
3, and 4, Block 1, Shoppes at Towne Lakes Two and Outlot A of Towne Lakes 6
Addition pertaining to grass, weeds, and the accumulation of debris.
Title 5, Chapter 3 of the Albertville City Code requires property owners to control the
growth of grass and weeds on their properties. Site inspection of your property reveals
that grass has grown longer than 12 inches and the site is inundated with weeds such
as dandelions. This letter is to direct you to mow and remove the weeds from the site
by June 6, 2016. Failure to comply with this order will result in the following actions by
the City:
1. The City will issue an administrative citation and fine of $200.00.
2. The City may cause the weeds and grass on your parcels to be cut and removed.
The actual cost of cutting and removal, plus sums determined by the City Council
to reimburse the City for costs associated with inspection, administration, and
code enforcement, shall be certified by the City Administrator and thereupon
become a lien on the property.
3. Please note that the City is processing a zoning amendment that will prohibit the
receipt of any development application for properties having unpaid taxes,
assessments, fines, or penalties. This could delay a prospective development
request.

The City asks that you avoid the aforementioned enforcement actions and maintain your
property by June 6, 2016. The City will inspect the property the following day for
