Thank you for meeting me at the site yesterday. As you can see, we are making great
progress before the weather change. As you know, I am very concerned with the
timing of the road improvement completion. Pete, I am very unsure of your opinion
about "settling". I have never been around a job that left five months between base and
wear coats. If the job was done thus far to the bid standards, there should not be a
problem.
I still feel with the weather the way it is, we can complete the job before snow flies. If
you have a problem with Buffalo Bituminous, I know that Stahl Construction can get our
asphalt subcontractor in as our parking lot is already 100%. I would strongly encourage
this being done to keep from having any problems with the opening of the mall on
April 20, 2000. JMJ is extremely excited about this project and we feel that it will be a
great success for all parties involved, and the more we can get accomplished early, the
better off we all are.
If you have any questions, please do not hesitate to call me at (231) 798-4670.
Sincerely,
%7~~~~
