Chair Vetsch convened the special meeting for the purpose of
considering the Comprehensive Parks and Trail System Plan.
Moved by Larson, supported by Bauer, to adopt the agenda.
Motion carried unanimously.
City Planner Stockman opened by discussing trails. Focus on
snowmobile trails. Commissioners believe the snowmobile
association and DNR decide final trai Is. Decision to work with
Wright County Snowmobile Association at (320)963-5137.

Discussion revol ved around "park dedication" through land
and/or cash. How to secure land for parks.
Commission members prepared a "1997 Park Facility Improvement
Plan". Details for every park were discussed.
PlannerSt.ockman moved to 1997-1998 Park Priorities.
Commissioners worked on five priorities.
Commissioners establ ished park development priori ties,
followed by trail development priorities as follows:
1) County Road 19 - 53rd Street to CSAH 37 (west side)
2) County Road 37 - County Road 19 to Kalland
3) 57th Street between Main Avenue and County Road 19
4) Barthel Industrial Drive - North of railroad to County Road 37
5) Barthel Industrial Drive - South of railroad to 50th Street
Discussion was held to hold a joint meeting with the Ci ty
Council on adopting a final Comprehensive Parks and Trails Plan on
June 24, 1997, at 7:00 PM in the City Hall.
Moved by Larson, supported by Vetsch, to adjourn at 9:50 PM.
