CITY COUNCIL MINUTES
DECEMBER 2. 1985
The regular ~eeting of the City Council was called to order by Mayor Walsh.
Members present included G. Schwenzfeier. D. Vetsch, B. Braun with D. Cornelius
absent. Other present include D. Berning, M. Andrews, G. Meyer and
B. Johnson.
The minutes of the November 18th meeting were reviewed and approved on a
motion by G. Schwenzfeier and a second by B. Braun. All were in favor.
The Worker's Compensation Insurance was reviewed. On a motion bu D. VEtsch
and a second by G. Schwenzfeier the premimum deposit was aprroved. All were
in favor.
There was a motion by B. Braun and a second by D. Vetsch to approve the bond
agreement with First Trust S. Paul for the $650,000.00 bond lssue. All
were in favor.
There was a motion made by G. Schwenzfeier to approve a resolution encouraging
Congress to work towards the defeat of the House Ways and Means Committee's
Tax Bill which directly effects the use non-taxalbe bonds and Tax Increment
Financing. All were in favor. A letter will be sent to the local representatives
expressing our views on the issue.
There was a motion by G. Schwenzfeier and a second by B. Braun to have S & L
Construction tei the drain tile into the oresent storm sewer in the Beaudry
2nd Addition. The cost will run $3,000.00. All were in favor.
A building permit for Larry Heikes was approved on a motion by G. Schwenzfeier
and a second by B. Braun. All were in favor.
Contact was made with Otsego Township. They have agreed to keep the road
open from Zachman's corner to the old disposal site. All were in favor.
A motion was made by G. Schwenzfeier and seconded by B. Braun to approve the
bills. All were in favor.
The Council requested M. Andrews to get a gift certificate from the Heidelberg
for Ken's hard work over the Thanksgiving weekend, for the amount of $25.00.
In addition the Council approved another gift certificate from Vern's
for $10.00 to be used on a Christmas Turkey. All were in favor.
The meeting was adjourned.
