order by Mayor Loretta Roden Members present lncluded Bob Bra1JU, fun

Flre Chlef Davld Vetsch was present to lnfonn the Councll that the
Flre J)::partment Will be turning an abandoned house out at Fosrer Lake on
Saturday. .July 16th as part of a f1re tra1nmg exercIse The trammg
E.eSSlOn Will be overseen by an lnstructor frcJlTl the Anoka Techn1Cal
&:::hool The Fl1"e J)::partrrJent has appl1ed for the StateE. approval and the
SherI ff' D ~partment has been notlfied Jomt Power' E. is also aware
that the Fire J)::partment will be using approx1mately 75021 gallons of
water No problems are anticlpated unless there is 1nclement weather
Fll"e Clnef Vetsch went on t.-o say that the Fire Department is
lookmg at PJ.rchasing a new equlpnent/rescue veh1Cle that would replace
the eXH. tlng veh1Cle The L10ns Club has allocated $75021 00 towards the
purchase price

There was some discuss10n whether or not the equipment/rescue
vehicle could be purchased new for a price simllar to what the used one

rams It wlll help settle the gravel and some addltlonal shaplng may

The COlmcll was lnformed that a cable has been lr16talled in front

been completed and approved The ponds met all l1nn ts for the second

alum over the wrnter Ken explained that 1500 gallons of alum lS the
mmImum that can be ordered at one time, so It w111 be to our advantage

Ken brought up to the Council a personal matter, askmg what can be

The overtlIne calendars were reVIewed by the Counc11 There wac a
quest ion about Ken's overtime on May 23rd for checkmg pumpo and
chec'king at the hft station It was d1sCU6sed and agreed upon that the
C1ty should pay Ken his overtime 1n order to brIng h16 hooTh reck down
to 25 hours

The Latour pay request was dlscussed next Bob Sullentrop reported
that sewer and water is in up to County Road #19 and part of the dlt.-ch
The work meets the approval of the Cl ty englneers and they are
recommendmg that the Councll honor Latour's pay request of $173,771 87
The 1Soue of D.J' s easement was dlscussed brlefly There had been

The update on the Westwmd sewer proJect shows that all servwes
are completed to the d1 tch and are hooked up to the lme at 1-94 The
11ft stat10n wlll be started and the work done back towards D.J s
