MINUTES OF SPECIAL OOUNCIL MEETI~ OCTOBER 28, 1988 A specaal meetmg of the Albertv~lle C~ ty Cotmc~l was called to order by Mayor Loretta Roden Members present mcluded Gary Schwenzfe~er, funatus Vetsch and Bob Braun Cotmc~l member fun Cornel~us was absent Others present included Maureen Andrews The purpose of the meeting was to discuss and approve the purchase of a tractor and sweeper to be used for ice maintenance at the C~ ty Park Each member of the Counc1.l had been mformed that the equipment was ava1.lable and a couple of the members had had an opportun1. ty to check the equ1.pnent out pr1.or to the spec1.al meeting funatus Vetsch asked about the make of the tractor and how old was the equ1.pnent He was mformed that the eqU1.pment was made by Hustler and 1.S approxl.mately 10 years old There was also some discusoion about the availab~lity of parts and it appears that they are ava1.1able through MacQueen' 0 Equ~Iment Inc out of St Paul Gary Schwenzfe1.er explained that he had checked W1.th Corcoran, which 1.S the c~ ty that had the equl.Iment pr1.or to the party that the C1. ty was purchasmg 1. t from He told the other members of the Cotmc1.1 that they had had very l1.ttle problem with the equipment and that the only replacement that they had to make was the gear case which had worn becauce of manufacturerc defect Gary stated that they had used the tractor and broom to clean lce'm the wmter and that it had done a good job It was also pomted out that there was a mowing attachment mcluded with the sale of the tractor wh1.ch could be used in the event that the C1.ty's other mowing equ1.pment lS out of commiss1.on It was suggested that oince the eqU1.pment 1.S air cooled 1. t ohould be used only on a l1mi ted 0001.0 m order to keep 1. t in good operating cond1. tlon Other 1. terns discussed was that the equ1.pment had good clearance and the tlreo looked to be in good shape The Councll next discussed the sale of the old street sweeper The Council was mformed that OJ's had offered the City $700 00 for the equ~pment SPECIAL COUNCIL MEETI~ . . .
