Explore Your Parks Night
Event is set for Friday, May 17, 6-8pm
Oakside: Mark, needs a tent, Mike from Public Works with plow truck
Winter: Sharon, needs a tent, soccer
Westwind: Andy, needs a tent, John or Gerald with new jet truck
Linwood: Jon Vetsch, Sandy from FYCC, Health Source chair massages
Villas: Gonzo the Clown, Larry
Four Seasons: Lions, hot dogs, BMX group
- Meet at city hall at 5:30 before the event to get supplies
- Food: Andy's Pizza and Coborn's are nailed down; Sharon is still working to line up more food vendors
for other parks
- Regarding Explore Your Parks Night 2014, Sandy would like to have the FYCC Fun Run in conjunction
with the event
Trails and Sidewalks
- Engineer's assessment to pave trail between Kahl Ave. and Jensen Ave. is expected week of April 22,
2013. It will be presented to city council on May 6th
- Tim's crew will post a few "No Skateboarding" signs at Lions Park pavilion and Central Park pavilion
STMA Rotary
- Little Libraries, committee is in favor of installing one on 571" Street across from the Fire Hall. Sandy will
talk with Dr. Foucault about putting another one in front of Albertville Primary School, too.
- Rotary is looking into donating park benches to Albertville parks, committee is open to the idea
Third Lair
- Discussed having Third Lair group come to city to teach kids about skateboarding. Plans were not set,
but committee supports this.
Next meeting: Tuesday May 14, 8:00 to finalize Explore Your Parks Night
