Albertville Parks Committee meeting minutes
September 28, 2015

Parks update
- Central Park – As recommended by the committee for Central Park: a bench at the playground
and the picnic table in the gazebo has been replaced. Shingles have been repaired on the
gazebo and it has been painted. Hockey rink boards are cracked and they suffer damage every
season. Tim is working on replacement of at least a few sections with a new product that is
more durable than the original type of composite boards that were installed about 10 years
ago.
- Four Seasons – Wooden boards on several of the benches have been replaced, basketball back
boards have been painted and new nets have been installed.
Parking
- There was a discussion about future parking near Central Park and how the park’s future
improvements could affect parking requirments.
Equipment
- There was discussion about funds becoming available for the parks and how the money could
be effectively invested in infrastructure, including park equipment, lighting, properties,
buildings, etc.
