Albertville Parks Committee meeting minutes
March 28, 2016
Attendees: Tim Guimont, Sharon Oakvik, John Vetsch, Andy Swanson, LeRoy Berning, Larry Boller

Ball field lights
- Jason Sokolowski from the Albertville Villains baseball team provided information about town ball and
the ball field in Central Park. The committee will further discuss plans for baseball field improvement at
its next meeting.
Explore Your Parks Night
- The annual event will be Friday, May 20 from 6-8 pm. Sharon will call Culver’s, Coborn’s and Space
Aliens about them providing food. LeRoy will contact Andy’s Pizza and Emma’s Express.
Oakside: Larry with Gonzo the Clown
Linwood: John and A.F.D. fire truck
Westwind: Sandy
Villas: Andy with Albertville Villains and Foxtailers cooking hot dogs
Four Seasons: Albertville Lions
Winter: Sharon
Other city equipment (jet truck, payloader, plow truck) and a county deputy and squad will likely be
stationed at the parks.
Skate park
- New equipment to update the park has been ordered. Delivery date of the equipment is not known.
Next meeting: April 25 at 8:00 pm.
