Albertville Parks Committee meeting minutes
August 29, 2016
Attendees: Tim Guimont, Sharon Oakvik, Larry Boller, Andy Swanson, LeRoy Berning, Nicole Rice

Field 3
- City council has already approved moving the outfield fences in at an estimated cost of $17,000 to
$20,000. The old warning track might be integrated into the trail system throughout the park. The parks
committee is generally in favor of making it a trail as long as it is maintained. Other option is to remove
the dirt and plant grass in its place.
Westwind Park
- Committee recommends having Alan Brixius draw plans to help provide guidance for the improvement
project at Westwind Park.
Oakside Park tennis courts
- The planned Oakside tennis court rehab project will likely be pushed off until spring 2017. The project
has been approved, but the contractor’s schedule has been full this summer. The court will be
hydroblasted, painted and re-striped.
Open Streets
- FYCC event will be September 10 from 10 am to 2 pm on Main and Lander Avenues.
