Visitor: Dan Lanes, Minnesota-Wisconsin Playground
1.Westwind Park
Committee requested a bid from Dan Lanes for the Mossy Knoll and Sapling play structures for
Westwind Park. Bid will also include a three-bay swing with two belt swings, an Expression
swing, one tot swing, one ADA-compliant swing and full installation of all components.
Extras recommended by Dan include a Tilted Sky Runner, TriRunner, 10-foot Space Runner and
Whirlwind Seat. These pieces are TBD based on price and space.
2.Central Lions Park
Extensive discussion with Alan Brixius about the Central Lions Park plan resulted in several
suggested changes, including reducing the center path’s width from 16 feet to 8 feet, reduce
th
foot print of the center plaza and reinstalling the center path that leads from 58 St. to the plaza
to improve access to the depot building. Al will present a revised plan at the next meeting.
3.Mark Barthel property

Committee suggest the City pursues purchase of Mark Barthel property on corner of 58 and
Lander. This property could be a valuable asset to the Central Lions Park.
