1991-03-14 PC Minutes .~ . . . t CITY OF ALBERTVILLE PLANNING & ZONING March 14, 1991 Albertville City Hall 7:30 PM PRESENT: Tom Haller, Rick Bishop, Mark Daleiden, Donatus Vetsch, Greg Berning Chairman Haller called the meeting to order. The Bishop. agenda was approved on a motion by Vetsch, All voted aye. seconded by George Yankoupe, John Darkenwald, and Wally Odell, representing the Westwind Second Addition, presented a preliminary plan for the Commission's review. The plat consists of 35 residential lots, the smallest of which is 9000 square feet. There are nine lots that are 9,000 square feet or slightly larger. All other lots are bigger as the developers have found there is a need for some larger lots for bigger houses and three car garages. The developers have paid a total dedication fees to the City for the approved. In addition the developers will to the City for a park in the addition. of $10,000 in park entire PUD originally deed 14.2 acres of land The question of where the City wishes to have the storm water drain was discussed. Bob Rohlin, the engineer of the project, explained that originally the plan called for the storm water to drain to the west through County Ditch #9. Since then, the City has also looked at draining the storm water to the east. A decision on which way the City wants to have the drainage travel must be reached to enable the engineer to calculate the elevations for the storm sewer. The proposal before the Commission shows construction of a controlled holding area in the park designed to retain excessive storm water until it can drain through County Ditch #9 at the same rate as it does now. The maximum depth of water that could be contained on the holding area is four feet. Bishop and Berning expressed concerns that standing water be dangerous for children playing in the park and could the parking lot and tennis courts. The boundaries of the plan would remain exactly the same as the original, but there would be two lots instead of five lots. The Commission indicated they would have no problems approving the proposed changes. Berning made a motion to adjourn at 9:50 PM, seconded by Bishop.
