A Dear Sir or Madam: ' It has come to the attention of the City of Albertville that you have unmowed areas on your - property that contains noxious~weeds. ~ ' The City of Albertville has a duty to enforce its Qrdinances, regarding noxious weeds:: This ordinance requires the City to. notify the owner/occupant of any property to remove the weeds. - Failure to comply vuth this notice within fourteen (14) days from the date of this letter, i.e. July 2, 2003, will result in the City either cutting or arranging to have such. weeds eut. The actual cost of cutting the weeds, plus such sums as determined by the City Council to reimburse the City for its costs of inspection, shall be certified by the City Administrator and shall thereupon become a lien upon the, property on which the weeds were located. .Should you choose not to respond to this re'~uest, the City will arrange to have such weeds cut. To avoid expenses you would incur if the City deems it necessary to cut them, p`le~se take immediate action to c©mply with the city ordinances and`continue to keep the weeds trimmed . throughout the entire summer/late fall. s~ A city employee will be out to inspect the property throughout the summer/fa112003. Ruppe 705 Central Avenue East PO Bog 369 St Michael,MN 55376-0369 RE: Albertville Plaza Dear Mr. Ruppe, To respond to your certified letter dated July 29, 2003 in regards to weeds and overgrown grass. On June 18,2003, I received a letter from Linda Goeb, the Albertville City Administrator, (see attached) I responded by phone call to her and asked if she would be able to tell me what the cost would be to have the city cut the weeds and grass. She said due to all the rain she was too busy pumping water and said it would be best if I had someone else do the work. I thanked her for her time and hired personnel and equipment to have the job completed shortly thereafter This past Tuesday, July 26, I received a call from the City Building Inspector that there were still some areas that were missed. I told him that I would inspect and have the property corrected by Thursday July 28 which I have done, and inspected. I believe that I have complied with the City Administrator letter dated June 6. We will do a better job of maintaining the site. We are also in the process of coming to the city with a new development project to complete our site.
