RE: Albertville Business Park
Wetland Monitoring
BMI No. T i 5.21660
Dear John:
On August 2, 2007, Colleen Allen, Wright County SWCD, Kelly Kunst, Kjolhaug
Environmental, and myself visited the Albertville Business Park wetland mitigation area to
review the monitoring progress of the site.
Currently, the mitigated wetland cannot be accepted because the plant conmiunity has not been
established as described in the original permit application. The wetland is donunated by Reed
Canary Grass, with few signs of native vegetation. Reading through the monitoring reports, it
appears that limited attempts at stopping the invasion of Reed Canary Grass were taken. Please
supply us with the as-built survey drawings, the proof of recording as tivell as a plan to remove the
Reed Canary Grass and establish native wetland vegetation at-the mitigation site.
The original plan for the cul-de-sac that reaches to the west was for it to impact a wetland.
Colleen Allen noted that she had asked for the cul-de-sac to be moved to the east to avoid the
wetland. Please supply us with the as-built survey drawings of the cul-de-sac, so that a
comparison can be done to ensure that the cul-de-sac is in the correct location.
If you have any questions please feel free to call at anytime.
Sincerely,
Bolton & Menk, Inc.
