Large Tree at Central Park
A large spruce tree will cost$600-$800 to be transplanted; Lions will fund it. Possible spots to plant the
tree are along Main Avenue, near the Lions shelter or in Central Park near the basketball court.The tree
will be 16 to 18 feet tall. Committee's preferred placement is near the basketball court and softball field
No. 1. Next step is to run it by City Council.
Holiday Decorations
Public Works will re-lamp the old holiday decorations and paint them green, with eventual placement
along 57thSt.Tim will order bulbs. Lions will fund outlets that will be installed on the power poles.
Rotary Bench
City does not have the right-away to place a bench donated by Rotary along Co. Rd. 18; this is where the
committee originally wanted to place the bench. Bench and a Little Library will be installed at Villas Park
near the gazebo and playground.
Memorial Park
Dedication ceremony for Memorial Park was September 22. Event was well attended with many people
from Pelican Rapids.Thanks to Public Works Dept.for making sure the sign was installed prior to the
ceremony.
