Attendees:Tim Guimont,Andy Swanson, Larry Boller,Terry James, LeRoy Berning, Lauryn White
1. Skatepark in Central Park
Landscaping,trees, shrubs and mulch have been installed. Grass has grown in well. A 6-or 8-
foot fence will be installed between the west hoop and Lander Ave.Tim still working on bike
rack.
2. Central Park
Last month,there was discussion about tot-lot and playground equipment in Central Park.There
was some support for equipment to be put in west of caboose for small kids, especially during
Farmers Market music. Discussion also included potential to improve/replace equipment off
Lander Ave.There was further discussion during the October meeting, but committee
recommends tabling the topic indefinitely.
3. Parks Night
Discussion about hosting the May event only at Westwind Park to promote the park and
investments that have recently been made. Ideas included a mailer to neighborhood to promote
walking or riding to the event,food truck(s), ice cream truck, a music feature, naturalist on
boardwalk. Also discussed dates—Thursday(May 19) instead of Friday(May 20).Topic tabled.
4. Park dedication fee
Committee recommends to increase the Park Dedication Fee 10 percent.
