The examination of plans is based upon the supposition that the data on which the design is based are correct, and that necessary legal authority has been obtained to construct the project. The responsibility for the design of structural features and the efficiency of equipment must be taken by the project designer. Approval is contingent upon satisfactory disposition of any requirements included with this report. Water supply plans are examined with regard to the location, construction and operational features of the design and maintenance of all parts of the system which may affect the safety and sanitary quality of the water. Examination is based on the standards of this department. Authorization for construction in ac ordance with the approved plans may be wit~drawn if construction is not undertaken within a period of two y ars. The fact that the plans have been approved does not necessarily mean that recommendations or req irements for change will not be made at some later time when changed conditions, additional information, 0 advanced knowledge make improvements necessary.
