1. Updates
a. Linfield new structure
No update.
b. Update on replacement—damage at Westwind Park to tube slide and graffiti at Central
Park
Westwind repair was pushed out to August for ship date for new tube. Skatepark graffiti in
Central has been fixed.
c. Proposed scoreboard for Angler's ball field
No update.
2. Projects for 2023
A. Continue work at Central Park
City is working on getting a bid for concrete (trail, "dance floor" and area adjacent to the
pavilion). Intent is for work to happen fall 2022. Committee recommends the following:
pursuit of a small,train-themed play structure for area to the west of the caboose; small
water feature for area near existing playground; replace existing play structure; add
sidewalk to along west side of Lander between parking lot and church.
B. Water fountains

C. Benches
A bench has been installed in Four Seasons Park. All other benches in Four Seasons Park
were rehabbed and Tim says are now in good shape. Benches in Oakside Park have been
painted. A Lions bench has been installed in Central Park, but the eyes have been removed
(vandalism).
3. Future parks wish list
• Expand Westwind board walk
• Naming rights
• Shuffle boards
• Parks photography contest
• Pet waste bags and signage
• Grandstand at Central Park ball fields
• Ball fields at compost site
4. Westwind Park
Larry will contact the University of Minnesota about future work in Westwind Park.
5. Andy Swanson
Andy announced his resignation from the committee, effective after delivering the minutes for
the July meeting.
