Dear Mike:
As per your request, the following issues need to be addressed in your planning process:
1. A sanitary sewer assessment has been levied against the property you are purchasing.
2. A lateral water main has not been installed. When this water main is installed, a water main
assessment would be levied against the property.
3. The City has developed a trunk sanitary sewer charge. The property you are considering
would not be assessed a trunk sanitary sewer charge.
4. The City has developed a trunk water main charge. The property you are considering would
be assessed a trunk water main charge at a rate of $1 ,000/acre.
5. The City has developed a Sewer Access Charge (SAC). This charge is used to pay for the
upgrade to the wastewater treatment facility. The current SAC charge is $3,200 per unit. A
unit is defined as 600 gallons of water use per day.
6. There is a Water Access Charge (WAC) which was developed by the Joint Powers Water
Board. You will need to contact that office to determine your WAC charge.
7. Road and drainage improvements to the frontage road will have to be determined. The
current City policy is to access these costs to the benefitting properties. This assessment has
yet to be determined.
Please call me if you have any other questions.
