Meeting Minutes
Attendees:Tim Guimont, LeRoy Berning, Lauryn White,Terry James, Robert Olson
1. Updates
a. Update- Proposed scoreboard for Anglers' ball field - no update at this time.
b. Shade covering for area by skate park—This has been ordered and will be installed in the
spring.
c. Pet ordinance Signs-The Parks Department will order the signs and install them in the
Spring.
2. New Committee Member
To date, there has been no interest in the open position.
3. Set date for Parks Night 2023
Discussion was had to hold Parks night 2023 on Friday May 191", 2023. It was proposed to hold
the event at three neighborhood parks. The parks that were discussed were Linwood,
Westwind and Seasons. We discussed asking the Lions and other groups to serve Hot Dogs and
beverages.
4. Project for next year—Central Park Playground Replacement+Splash Park and small play area
west of Caboose
No new updates on designs. Discussion will continue when we receive the next set of proposed
designs.
5. Updates to amenities at Oakside
The tennis courts at Oakside were brought up. A recommendation was made to get a quote to
have the tennis courts converted to two Pickle Ball courts and a basket ball court as residents
have expressed interest in having more Pickle Ball courts in Albertville and a basketball court at
that park. There are several other options for Tennis courts in the city.
The next meeting will be held January 23, 2023.
