Box 9 Albertville, Minnesota 55301-0009 GentlemenILadies: Subject: REQUEST FOR ADDITIONAL INFORMATION Regarding ~ermain at Kollville Estates Third Addition, Albertville, Wright County, Minnesota, Plan No. 041027 We are NOT able to grant approval at this time of the plans and specifications submitted for the above-designated project. The following comments outline the changes andlor additional information that must be submitted so that we can further evaluate the plans and specifications for compliance with the standards of this department: 1. Watermains shall be laid at least 10 feet horizontally from any sanitary sewer, storm sewer or sewer manhole, whenever possible. When local conditions prevent a horizontal separation of 10 feet, a watermain may be laid closer to a storm or sanitary sewer provided that: a. the bottom of the watermain is at least 18 inches above the top of the sewer; or b. where this vertical separation cannot be obtained, the sewer shall be constructed of materials and with joints that are equivalent to watermain standards of construction and shall be pressure tested to assure watertightness prior to backfilling. It appears the storm sewer lo~ated between 5 + 00 and 7 + 20 on Sheet No. 14 is less than !O feet from the watermain. 2. Hydrant drains shall not be connected to or located within 10 feet of sanitary sewers, storm sewers, sewer catch basins or sewer manholes. The hydrant located at 6 + 90 on Sheet No. 14 is less than ten feet from a catch basin. 3. Please provide a itemized list of the watermain pipe, which should include size, length and type (dip, PVC, etc.). Please submit the requested information promptly so we may complete our plan review. No construction related to the above-referenced plans shall begin until approval is provided by our office. When submitting additional information, please refer to Plan No. 041027.
