IN THE MATTER OF THE PETITION BY ALL OF THE
PROPERTY OWNERS FOR THE CONCURRENT
DETACHMENT AND ANNEXATION OF CERTAIN LAND
PURSUANT TO MINNESOTA STATUTES ~414.061, SUBD. 5
TO: Minnesota Municipal Board
475 McColl Building
366 Jackson Street
St. Paul, Minnesota 55101-1925
The undersigned, being the sole owner of the following described real property, hereby
requests that the Minnesota Municipal Board detach said property from the City of Otseszo and
annex it to the City of Albertville. pursu-mt to Minnesota Statutes ~414.061, SuM 5:
All that part of the Southwest Quarter of the Northwest Quarter lying South of the
Bur1iDiton Northern Railroad, Section 35, Township 121, Range 24, Wright County,
Minnesota, except the West 507 feet thereof.
In bringing forward this petition, the petitioners state that:
1 . The Petitioner is the sole owner of the property proposed for detachment/annexation.
2. The property is presently within the City of Otsego and abuts the City of Albertville
on Its southern and eastern boundaries, in the Colmty of Wright.
3. The property proposed for detachment/annexation consists of approximately 10 acres.
4. This boundary adjustment is being requested because:
a The property is a necessary and logical extension of an existing Kenco
Construction, Inc. development located in the City of Albertville which is serviced
with municipal sewer and water. The City of Otsego does not provide municipal
sewer and water services and does not intend to provide services to the property in
the future.
b. Annexation of the property will allow it to be developed in a manner
consistent with Albertville' s current trend of developing property adjacent to
Highway 37.
c. Annexation of the property will allow it to be developed in a manner
consistent with the present development trends along the Interstate 94 corridor.
d. Otsego has no plans of developing the property pursuant to current
development trends along the Interstate 94 corridor or Highway 37.

e. Albertville has expressed an overall interest in expanding its boundaries.
f It would be in the best interests of the municipalities and the subject area to
allow for detachment and annexation of the property since Albertville is interested in
future development and boundary expansion and Ostego has shown no interest in
development or expansion of its boundaries.
