City Hall,"5975 Main Ave. N.E., Albertville, Minnesota, to pass upon the proposed assessment of cost$ related to A. the improvement of Wright <.:ounty State Aid Highway 19, including installation of stop, lights- at csAH 19 and 57th Street, installation of stop lights at CSAH 19.. and the Outlets of Albertville private drive, widening of CSAH 19 to four lanes, and installation of turn lanes to CSAH 19. The amount to be specially assessed against your particular lot, piece or pafcelof land (PID #101-098-004010) is $1,174.50. You may"at ~ny time prior to certification of assessment to the County Auditor, pay the entire assessment on such property to the City Treasurer with no interest accrued to the date of payment. No interest shall be charged if the entire assessment is paid within 30 days from the adoption of this assessment. You may .at' any time thereafter pay to the County Auditor the entire amount of the assessment remaining unpaid, with mterest accrued to December 31 of the next succeeding year. The proposed assessment roll is on file for public inspection' in the City Clerk's office at Ci!y Hall. The total amount of the proposed assessment is $475,792.01. Adoption of the proposed assessment by the City Council may be taken at the hearing. Written or oral objections will be considered at the meeting. No appeal may be taken as to the amount of the assessment unless a written objection, signed by the property owner, is filed "with the City Administrator prior to the hearing or present~d to the presiding officer at the hearing. , An owner may appeal an assessment to the District Court pursuant to Minnesota Statutes Section 429.08l...by serving written notice of the appeal upon the Mayor or Oit-y Administrator within thirty (30) days after the adoption of the assessment and filing such notice with .the District Court within teft (10) days after service upon the Mayor or City . " ~ " Minnesota Statutes Section 435.193 through 435.195 authorize a municipality to defer the payment of assessments against homestefI property owned by persons 65 years of age and older, or who are retired because of permanent and total disability under circumstances where it would be a hardship for such person to make the assessment payments. When deferment of the special assessment has been granted and is termina~ed for any reason provided in that l~w, all amounts accumulated plus applicable interest become due. Any assessed property owner meeting the requirements of this law may, withjn 30 days of the confirmation of the assessment, apply to the City Administrator for the prescribed form' for such dt!ferral of payment of this special assessment on said owner's property.
