1.Central Park
1.Playground -We are working on picking exact colors for the structure and the
poured in place. We are close enough to a decision that we are hoping to share
with the public at Explore Your Parks Night.
2.Dugout Shelters - Tim is still waiting on a response for a quote.
3.Central Park Water Feature - We discussed possible cost and whether we are
interested in moving forward. The playground takes precedence.
2. Other Updates
1.Park Signage/Naming Rights - Adam is still working on this.
2.Main Street Updates - This will be happening sooner than we thought, so it
was brought up that we will need to start thinking about the design of the
entrance to Central Park.
3. “Explore Your Parks” - Thursday, May 16
1.Where - Oakside Park, Villas Park, and Winter Park
2.When - Thursday, May 16th. The event will run from 6:00pm - 8:00pm.
3.What - The Foxtailers, The Lions, and the STMA Rotary will host and sponsor.
There will be hot dogs, chips, juice, hot dog boats, napkins, condiments, and
cups. We will try and have photo boards for our new Central Park park design
at all three parks. We also have the K9 demonstration booked. As of now, K9
will be at Oakside Park at 6:00pm, Villas Park at 6:40pm, and Winter Park at
7:20pm. The Albertville Royalty will also be at the the parks. The Royalty will be
at Winter Park at 6pm, Oakside Park at 6:40pm, and Villas Park at 7:20pm. The
parks department will have some trucks/equipment on display at each park, and
the fire department will have a truck at Villas Park. We also have a balloon artist
booked for each park location.
4. Open Seat on Committee - No letters of interest for us to review at this time.
