1.Central Park
1.Playground - We reviewed the updated playground designs from Midwest
Playscapes. We are moving forward with Landscape Structures. Tim will ask
Bailey to render the design with the two color schemes we like the best and add
a more neutral beige color to the poured in place instead of the bright green and
blue. Then it will be submitted to the council.
2.Dugout Shelters - Tim is waiting on a response for a quote.
3.Hockey Rink - The hockey rink will remain where it is. There has been some
discussion regarding the power at the stage. Ideas were tossed around.
2. Other Updates
1.Park Signage - Adam is still working on this.
2.Park Improvements - We discussed the improvements needed at our local
parks and started making a list of items that need and can be done this year.
3. “Explore Your Parks” - Thursday, May 16
1.Where - Oakside Park, Villas Park, and Winter Park
2.When - Thursday, May 16th. The event will run from 6:00pm - 8:00pm.
3.What - The Foxtailers, and the Lions will host and sponsor. We are waiting to
hear back from the Royalty. There will be hot dogs, chips, juice, hot dog boats,
napkins, condiments, and cups. We will try and have photo boards for our new
Central Park park design at all three parks. We also have the K9 demonstration
booked. As of now, K9 will be at Oakside Park at 6:00pm, Villas Park at
6:40pm, and Winter Park at 7:20pm. The parks department will have some
trucks/equipment on display, and we will check with the fire department to see if
they want to be a part of it. We are also going to book a balloon animal creator
for each park. Lauryn is working on this.
4. Open Seat of Committee - No letters of interest for us to review at this time.
