1. “Explore Your Parks” - Thursday, May 16
1.Recap - All 3 parks were considered a huge success. We will mostly likely
choose a Thursday night again in 2025. We had enough food and drink at all
parks, and the balloon artists and K9 demo were a hit. We noticed that the Big
Trucks did not get much attention. We will look into other entertainment for next
year to replace the trucks.
2.Central Park
1.Playground -We had great feedback on the design at Explore Your Parks night.
We are working on picking exact colors for the structure and the poured in
place. We are hoping to see more color samples at our June meeting. The
design will be brought to the City Counsel once we know if we qualify for the
park grant.
2.Dugout Shelters - Tim is still waiting on a response for a quote. He has
contacted someone else who does steel dugouts.
3.Baseball Bleachers - The Lions are looking into this.
3. Other Updates
1.Main Street Updates - We began discussing design options for Central Park
entrance. Alanna has a neighbor who does landscape design. She will ask him
to attend the June meeting to discuss possible designs.
2.Joey Bongarts Fund - They are looking to donate a bench for Four Seasons
Park. The board voted to approve this. We would need a maintenance free
bench donated and Tim will get it in the ground.
3.Bench Improvements - The Lions are looking into updating some benches that
need new materials.
4. Open Seat on Committee - No letters of interest for us to review at this time.
