1. Central Park
1. Playground - The Albertville City Council approved our design. We are moving
forward with the hope that we can break ground Summer 2025. We will be
reaching out to Bailey with Landscape Structures to invite her back to get
official numbers written up.
2. Dugout Shelters - Tim has 2 contractors writing up bids for the design.
3. Water Feature - The Albertville Lions would like to know what the City is
thinking for this design so that they can talk about sponsorship.
4. Lights - We discussed that fact that we have lights for Central Park that haven't
been installed yet. We are looking into getting those up sooner rather than later.
5. Legion Ball Update - There will be a tournament here in 2025. They are looking
at needing bleachers for the fields and fencing. We talked about some options
and will discuss this more at a later meeting. There was also discussion about
needing to lock up the field to keep the pitchers mound covered and protected.
There was no decision on whether that is needed at this point or not.
2. Other Updates
1. Main Street Updates - The City Council is working on a design. There is
nothing for us to review at this time. Adam plans to be present for our October
meeting to discuss this.
2. Ticket Booth/Storage Building - The City of Albertville purchased a garage on
this side of 94, so that will suffice for storage at this time. We will table the
ticket booth at Central Park for now.
3. Joey Bongarts Bench - Tim is going to send bench options to the Joey
Bongarts Fund to help find the correct style bench for Four Seasons Park.
4. Linwood Park Updates - The park basketball hoops, court surfaces, and the
fence will receive upgrades. The tennis courts will be painted for tennis and
pickle ball.
3. Open Seat on Committee - No letters of interest for us to review at this time.
