APRIL 20, 1989
A special meeting of the Albertville City Council was called to
order by Mayor Gary Schwenzfeier. Members present included .Jim
Krystosek, Donatus Vetsch and Don Cornelius. Others present included
Maureen Andrews.
The purpose of the meeting was to approve the purchase of a new
vehicle for the Maintenance Department. Specifications for the vehicle
included:

The City received quotes from the following four dealerships:
SAXON MOTORS, INC. ....................$14,668.66
MILLER CHEVROLET, INC. ................$15,310.53
ELK RIVER FORD MERCURY ................$15,829.00
COUNTRY CHRYSLER... ................... $15,909.00

The minutes should note that none of these bids included the
purchase of the 8 foot plow.
A motion was made by Don Cornelius to accept the four bids and
keep them on file for one year in the Office of the City
Administrator. The motion was seconded by Donatus Vetsch. All were in
favor and the motion carried.
A motion was then made to accept the low bid from Saxon Motors,
Inc. for $14,668.66. The motion was made by Don Cornelius and seconded
by Jim Krystosek. All were in favor and the motion carried
There was some discussion regarding when the vehicle would be
available for pick up and whether or not smoking should be allowed in
the truck.
Hearing no other discussion a motion to adjourn was made by
Donatus Vetsch and seconded by Jim Krystosek. All were in favor and
the motion carried.
