1.Central Park
1.Playground - The playground equipment has been purchased. Bidding for the
site work is open now and will be open for approximately 2 more weeks.
2.Water Feature - We had no further updates to discuss.
3.Internal Trail System - The desire for a trail system is still there, however, the
playground takes precedence.
4.Field Updates - Bids for dugouts for Field 1 and 2 are in and the job should be
completed by Fall 2025. The lighting project for Field 1 is probably a couple
years out.
2. Other Updates
1.Main Street Updates - This project is expected to start after Friendly City Days.
Bidding is happening now and selections will be made next.
2.Pickleball Courts - The committee likes this idea, but we are waiting to move
on anything new until we know final prices on the playground.
3.Explore Your Parks Night 2025 - Date of May 15th, 2025. We are going to have
events at Westwind Park, Four Seasons Park, and Hunters Pass. The Lions
have offered to donate the food items and grill at Westwind Park. The Foxtailers
have offered to grill at Hunters Pass. The Rotary will grill at Four Seasons Park.
The balloon artists have been secured for each park again and the Wright
County K9 will be traveling to all parks. The Royalty will also travel to all parks.
Pat is going to write a schedule for both K9 and Royalty. Albertville Fire has
offered to show a truck as well. The save the date was in the City Newsletter,
and Tim is going to double check that the advertisement is in the water bill and
on the city website and facebook page. We will also have updated Central Park
Playground vision boards for each park.
4.Linwood Park Athletic Courts - This will be completed as soon as the ground
cooperates and they can get a truck on the ground.
