Minutes
Present: Pat Adamski Leroy Berning, Tim Guimont, Alanna Lau, Lauryn White
Not Present: Nina Durand, Rob Olson
1.Explore Your Parks Debrief
1.Westwind Park was most attended. Hunters Pass had decent attendance. Four
Seasons Park was not very well attended. We discussed more ways to
advertise for next year as well as other giveaway options. We also talked about
how the weather probably was a major deterrent. We plan to host Explore Your
Parks Night again next year, unless we are doing a Central Park Grand Opening
instead.
2.Central Park
1.Playground - The site work will commence as soon as Friendly City Days is
over.
2.Water Feature - Leroy and Pat are going to ask Adam for a design so that they
can present the sponsorship opportunity to the Albertville Lions at an upcoming
meeting.
3.Field Updates - Bids for dugouts for Field 1 and 2 are in and the job should be
completed by Fall 2025. The netting for Field 1 has been ordered and the new
lights and poles is still being discussed. The Lions are interested in talking with
Adam regarding the scoreboard. Leroy and Pat will email Adam.
2. Other Updates
1.Main Street Updates - No new updates
2.Pickleball Courts - No new updates. The playground and Main Street take
precedence.
3.Linwood Park Athletic Courts - As soon as the truck can get to the court after
the ground dries out, this will be completed.
4.Lions Bench - Leroy and Pat asked the committee if we had any ideas on
where to move the Lion bench from the current park when tear down
commences, As a committee we will brainstorm some ideas at the next
meeting.
