1998-07-13 Memo Maintenance Building Sanitary Sewer Service=SEN 113 S. FIFTH AVENUE, P.O. BOX 1717, ST CLOUD, MN 56302-1717 TO: David Lund City Administrator Albertville, Minnesota MEMORANDUM 320 252-4740 800 572-0617 320 251-8760 FAX 'CEIVF-3 1 5 19g8 FROM: Peter J. Carlson, P.E. City Engineer DATE: July 13, 1998 RE: Maintenance Building Sanitary Sewer Service Plan Review Cedar Creek Golf Course Albertville, Minnesota SEH No. A-ALBEV 9806.00\ I have reviewed the above referenced plan and have the following comments: 1. The clean -outs shall be watertight. A screw -on cap is preferred. 2. The force main should connect to the gravity sewer in a manhole. This would provide a clean out location for the force main if a problem develops in the force main. The manhole is only a suggestion and is not required. 3. Due to the length of the service, it is my opinion that solids will settle out of the flow and create blockage in the service. It is suggested a manhole be installed at the midpoint of the sewer service. The manhole is only a suggestion and is not required. Please call me if you have any questions. c: Linda Goeb, City of Albertville Mike Couri, City Attorney Liz Stockman, City Planner Scott Dahlke, Meyer-Rohlin, Inc.
