Minutes
Present: Pat Adamski Leroy Berning, Nina Durand, Tim Guimont, Rob Olson, Alanna

Not Present:
1.Central Park
1.Playground - The groundwork is underway, but has been slow moving due to
the heavy rains and some unexpected gas lines. The work will continue as the
weather allows.
2.Water Feature - This project is underway as well. The Lions have made a very
generous donation to this project and will receive a Lions Logo on the water
feature upon it’s completion
3.Field Updates - We have a quote for 2 new scoreboards to replace the current
scoreboards on fields 1 and 2. Leroy will be asking for donations to make this
happen sooner.
4.Fence/Netting - The netting is done on field 3, and no movement has been
made on the fence between the new park and the church
2. Other Updates
1.Main Avenue Updates - Construction has begun
2.Linwood Park Athletic Courts - the paving is completed and the fencing was
ordered. When the fence arrives, the paved surface should be ready for paint.
It will be striped for tennis and pickleball.
3.Four Seasons Park - Tim is planning to install the drinking fountain and the two
rotary benches soon.
4.Winter Park - The smaller Winter Park needs new framing and refreshed wood
chips. This is on Tim’s to do list. We also discussed the continued vandalism at
the bigger Winter Park section. Tim is going to see what he can do about
cleaning off the basketball court.
5.Legion Tournament - There will not be a baseball tournament at Central Park
any more. They want a closer grandstand and concessions stand to the field.
We discussed the desire to have a grandstand at Central Park, but we currently
do not have the space.
6.Pickleball Courts - We discussed the various options for putting a few
pickleball courts in an Albertville Park. Rob is going to bring some of our ideas
to the City Council.
