1.Central Park
1.Playground - The groundwork is underway.
2.Water Feature - This project is underway.
3.Field Updates - 2 scoreboards have been ordered. Thank you to the donations
from the Foxtailers and the Knights of Columbus.
4.Fence/Netting - The netting is done on field 3, and Tim is going to look at
pricing options to replace the fence between the new park and the church.
2. Other Updates
1.Main Avenue Updates - Construction has begun
2.Linwood Park Athletic Courts - the paving is completed and the fencing
should be in within a couple of weeks. When the fence arrives, the paved
surface will be ready for paint. It will be striped for tennis and pickleball.
3.Four Seasons Park - Tim is planning to install the drinking fountain and the
Joey Bongarts Memorial Bench near the tennis courts. Tim also let us know
that there are some large pine trees in the park that will need to come down.
4.Winter Park - The smaller Winter Park playground frame has been fixed and the
wood chips are on their way. We also discussed the possibility of adding a
swing set to the main section of Winter Park in the green space across from the
playground. This swing set would include and infant swing and ideally a
handicap swing. We are going to be looking at prices and logistics at the next
meeting.
5.Pickleball Courts - We discussed the various options for putting a few
pickleball courts in an Albertville Park. Per Rob, Adam is looking into options.
Next Meeting : September 22nd @6:00pm (We are starting early so that we can
visit a couple of parks in the daylight)
