1.Central Park
1.Playground - Cement sitting walls are poured, and shade structure poles have
been installed. The sidewalks should be poured by end of the month.
Playground should be installed in early October, followed by the PIP.
2.Water Feature - Once the sidewalks are in around the park, they will focus on
the water feature. This is scheduled to be done this fall. Landscaping will most
likely be done in the spring.
3.We also discussed whether to extend the sidewalk toward the ballfields shelter
to create a path for Friendly City Days. More to come.
2. Other Updates
1.Linwood Park Athletic Courts - The courts are completed
2.Winter Park - We visited Winter Park during the meeting and discussed adding
another swing set for a baby swing and an ADA swing. We are also hoping to
re-home a couple of play structures from Central Park. More details to come.
We also saw the updates at the smaller Winter Park. The goal is to eventually
have a path from the sidewalk all the way to the trail through the woods. We are
also going to look into replacing the ADA swing.
3.Oakside Park - We stopped at Oakside as well to see how it was looking. We
discussed the missing window. The window has been ordered and should be in
soon. Other than that, we didn’t see anything else that needed immediate
attention.
