Dear Mr. Elftmann,
The following comments are in reference to Parkside Fourth Addition
proposed in Section 2, T.120N, R.24W in Wright County.
The applicant is proposing considerable wetland fill to be mitigated by the
construction of': wetland/stormwater ponds. Although we are not strictly
opposed to stormwater ponds being used for mitigation it does draw
considerable attention. Further the submitted material showing alternative
plans to address the sequencing requirements is very difficult to
understand. For this reasons we feel that questions pertaining to
sequencing requirements of both our respective jurisdictions need to be
better addressed.
We are suggesting that a nation wide permit not be issued on this project
and that Corp work with our office with authorities under the state Wetland
Conservation act and the City of Albertville to f~rthei7 review this
proj ect. In this way we feel we can coordinate our efforts which will
better serve the applicant while meeting our respective responsibilities
under the law.
